What information do we collect? How do we use it?

• When you apply for insurance, we need to collect enough information about you and your business to satisfy the requirements of the underwriting insurance company and government regulatory agencies. We also need to know your mailing address and, if online, your e-mail address. This allows us to process and service your application and to notify you of your application status.

• When you request changes to your policy, we need to collect enough information about the change you are requesting to satisfy the requirements of the underwriting insurance company.

• We may monitor insured and agent traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the HDR Online Insurance Service Center. We may personalize your online service experience by using your past use of the HDR Online Insurance Service Center to shape our presentation of the site to you.

How does HDR Insurance Services protect insured and agent information?
When you request customer service or access your account information, we offer the use of a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Furthermore, all of the insured and agent data we collect is protected against unauthorized access.

What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive. Our cookies do not contain any personally identifying information, but they do enable us to resume activities you started in prior visits. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually change your browser to prevent that. Will HDR Insurance Services disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
HDR Insurance Services does not sell, trade, or rent personal insured or agent information to others. HDR Insurance Services may provide aggregate statistics about our insureds, agents, sales, traffic patterns, and related information to reputable third-parties, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.
